Backbone is an important organ of our body which gives us support. It balances our weight and protects the spinal cord. Besides this, it is one of the delicate organs and neglected one as well. Back pain is the biggest reason why people visit doctors. There are multiple factors which affect the health of backbone, the major one is ageing and vitamin D deficiency.
What Causes Back Pain?
There are multiple and complex causes of back pain. Our spine is connected to many other organs. Any problem in those organs will automatically impart a secondary impact on the backbone. These causes are as follows:
Deficiency of nutrients like calcium, potassium, Vitamin D causes severe problems. Nutrient deficiency is the most neglected cause but it affects the most. Our backbone does a lot for us throughout the day, so it is important to take good care of it regularly. If we are not taking a balanced diet then it can aggravate severe back strain which can further get complicated. Potassium deficiency can cause neural problems across the backbone.
Severe Muscle Strain is the leading cause of back pain. Continuous heavy lifting and sitting in the same posture for a long time can cause the muscle to become stiff and stern. This pain can be so severe that can hinder our daily activities. Constant muscle strain can lead to muscle spasm.
Ruptured Disks are considered as high-level back dysfunction. Disks act as a cushion between the vertebrae. A ruptured disc can lead to brittle bones which will cause severe back problems. In some cases, patients are entirely bedridden. Visit your doctor in case of severe and prolonged pain of backbone.
Pregnancy, mensural cycle and constipation also serve as secondary causes. Due to the weight of the placenta, the backbone can undergo extreme pain which is inevitable sometimes. Due to mensural cramps, some females experience severe back pain.
