Eliminate your negative energy – is a practice that will help you lighten those internal states that do not feed your well-being.
Many of the times these events lead us to occupy our thoughts for a long time without being able to find an effective solution. Even on countless occasions, they manage to invade us in such a way that they make us feel bad about ourselves, unleashing all kinds of feelings.
Today I want to show you a simple exercise that will help you alleviate these types of states and gradually improve them to change so that they do not cause you so much damage. So read to know how to eliminate your negative energy.
Exercise to eliminate your negative energy (switch, change, or sad)
This exercise can be found in different books and manuals in different ways, such as switch practice, change, or sadness. Here I present it to you in a very simple way and it will not take you more than ten minutes. Memorize each step before putting it into practice.
To carry out this practice we need three ingredients: a negative experience that we want to change, a positive experience, and, finally, an activity to do to disconnect from the exercise.
The negative experience
What is it that bothers you excessively? That which occupies or worries you at the moment and that you would like to change. That which irritates you, that upsets you or that you cannot bear every time it happens to you. What is it that makes you lose control? Is it a situation external to you or is it your internal thoughts or your fears and fears that are blocking you? What are that experience that is affecting you and you want to change? You have it?
The positive experience
Look in your life for that experience that every time you think about it or that you do it makes you feel full and happy. Sure you have more than one. What is it that makes you lose track of time in your life? I don’t know … walking in the mountains or on the beach, swimming, doing your favorite sport or hobby, hugging your partner … Look for what fills you with fulfillment. You already have it?

The disconnect task
Now look for an activity that you are going to do to disconnect from the previous two parts, to stop thinking about it. It could be browsing through a book, going for a walk, cleaning, calling a friend … whatever you can think of that you are going to do next. You already have it?
We start the exercise to eliminate negative energy from your life.
Get comfortable, take three deep breaths, and close your eyes. Just relax.
Imagine that you are sitting in a cinema seat and you have that giant screen in front of you. There is an armored glass between the screen and you so that everything that happens inside cannot affect you.
Now imagine that that negative experience that you want to change is happening on that screen as if it were a movie that you are watching. You are part of the scenes of that movie as one more character. What is happening? Do you see? What is the dialogue that the characters in the scene have? And what is the dialogue that your character has? Visualize the whole scene trying to keep your feelings out of the situation.
Just watch what happens for as long as you see fit.
Already?
Now, while you’re in that negative experience, open a tiny screen with the positive experience in one corner of that giant screen. Start visualizing the positive scene on that tiny screen. You have it? Observe how that positive experience gets closer and closer at the same time that the negative one gets smaller and smaller and fades away until it disappears completely. It’s like when we activate the zoom in an image: it zooms in or out at the speed we want.
Now you have the positive experience in front of you occupying all that giant screen. Visualize the scene you are living in at the moment. Do you see? What sounds do you hear? What do you say to yourself? How do you feel inside this scene of your life? Soak up all these feelings and all these emotions for as long as you see fit. Soak up all the well-being that this positive experience produces … take your time.
Already? Now open your eyes.
Disconnect from exercise. Get to do that task that you had planned. Maybe at first, it will cost you a bit, although with practice it will become easier and easier. Our brain learns very fast. It is a matter of training him.
The danger of this exercise is to bring back the negative scene after the positive one. This would generate a loop and we would continue linking the two experiences with which the result would be null. It is about changing the internal state produced by that experience that is making us feel bad. We cannot erase the memories from our minds, but what we can modify are the feelings that those memories generate.
Do the exercise a minimum of 5 times a day for several days. If you ever do more better. It is about training our minds. When you have practiced it several times, remember your negative scene again. Observe and check your feelings: has your state changed when you remember this scene? I am sure yes.
